MOOSE JAW, Sask. - There will be no spirit at a Halloween fundraiser in Saskatchewan this year after complaints from religious objectors killed a planned séance.

The Moose Jaw Western Development Museum had organized a "ghost walk" as well as a presentation on talking with the dead.

That was to be followed by a demonstration.

Pastor Larry Gerow is one of the people who took offence and there were also complaints to the local member of the legislature.

The museum's board of directors says staff were fielding so many complaints, it was decided they had better things to do with their time.

David Klatt, the museum's executive director, says it's too late to put together a different fundraiser in time for Halloween. (CJME-CKOM.
